We invite YOU to join us in this unique ministry.  Donations of all sizes and forms are appreciated greatly!  We try to meet most of our operating expenses through our camp booking fees, however, many of the camp’s long-term enhancement projects are completed through the generous donations of camp supporters old and new!

URGENT PROJECTS CURRENTLY IN NEED OF ATTENTION

1.  Replacement of our 1980 Ford Maintenance Truck.  You read that correctly...1980!!!              "The Truck" has served camp well for so long and requires daily "encouragement" to start......... and stay running!  A reliable camp truck is vital for maintaining the 40 acres of wooded property, servicing the many buildings, running a multitude of maintenance errands, hauling luggage, and so much more!  Please contact us if you know of a good used truck at a reasonable price or of a business that would actually donate a truck for camp use.

The specific requirements needed are as follows:

  • Ford, Chevy, Dodge, or GMC (our mechanics skill set)
  • Full Size - 3/4 or 1 Ton - V6 or V8 - Non Diesel
  • 4 Wheel Drive - NOT All Wheel
  • Standard or Extended Utility Bed (Tool boxes along the sides) NOT shortened bed
  • Tow Package(Hitch) for pulling a maintenance trailer
  • Not required: Crew Cab, Dualies, fancy accessories
  • Utility racks, ladder hooks, etc can be added later...Color Optional! Praying for a miracle!!!

2. Installation of a Generator capable of Providing Power to Operate the ENTIRE CAMP.  According to the new safety practices put in place by PG&E, to ensure the safety of northern California residents by shutting off the power during damaging weather, we find it of the upmost importance to provide an alternative power source during scheduled camps.  Having to cancel 3 camps due to impending power outages has been a financial hardship for GVC and an extreme disappointment to our campers. We believe that this is the necessary step forward to ensure the reliability of a functioning camp to our loyal customers. While GVC staff and volunteers are capable of doing a lot of the prep work, this is a job for professional electricians. We have a wonderful Christian contractor willing to work with us and yet we are in need of significant funding to complete this project.  Would you kindly consider seeking God's will to donate as He directs.

Please contact the Camp Manager, Shelly Key, at 209-296-4632, for project details.
